It’s time to get down to business people! Fall is fast approaching and there is so much to do. I decided today was the day to dig in my heels. And hey, guess what? I accomplished quite a bit. So, I’m rewarding myself with a tasty Coco López Piña Colada. In my opinion, the best way to end my day!!!   Cheers friends!

“If you like Piña Coladas…come with me and escape…” Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

While on vacation these two ‘lovely’ ladies in bikinis spent a bit too much time standing between me and my view of the ocean. They have now been immortalized in watercolor… Here’s to them.

It was a dark and stormy night… at least I’m pretty sure it soon will be. The wind is howling outside and the rain is pouring down. Watch out folks, here comes Hurricane Irene.

The subject of this colored pencil and ink drawing is a new addition to our family recently acquired at the Nantucket Bookworks (great store). I love their tag line of “independent and out to sea.” This cute stuffed animal was originally named Feddy after Federal Street in Nantucket. But her name soon changed to Feddy Cranberry and currently is now known as just plain Cranberry. She’s cute, small and as of now, very loved.

We really had only one rainy day on vacation (yea for me!) As a result I wasn’t able to do as much drawing as I thought I would. You see, I had to spend as much time as possible on the beach! However, today I am taking the ferry home, and this cloud matches my mood. Goodbye Nantucket… see you next year.

One last day on Nantucket… My beach chair is waiting.

Oh, the sand in my toes…. I absolutely love this little house at Cisco Beach in Nantucket. The way it seems to be jetting out of the dunes is way too cute! And I’m just mad about the big overhang on the porch. Can’t you see yourself sitting under it with a tall glass of ice tea staring out at the ocean?
