This is a self portrait of me out on the town. I had an event I needed to attend and I, for the first time in a long time, splurged on… ME! New Michael Kors shoes, new Nicole Miller dress and a fabulous new beaded necklace I found on etsy. I spent an hour on my hair and makeup, shoved myself into some spanx and the result was… wow, I looked good! I felt so damn fantastic I wanted to… well… you know… DISCO! Anyone wanna dance?

I wish it was a relaxing Sunday afternoon, this drawing reminds me of one. I can see her traveling to starbucks with a New York Times in tow. But… It’s only Wednesday and I have a meeting to attend. Hmmm, maybe I’ll wear my leopard print shoes.

Tea Party

This is my o-so-cool collection of tea cups from Anthropologie (yes… my favorite store). The second from the top was my first tea cup… it cracked before I even got it home. I was so bummed! Still holds tea though, doesn’t leak. All of these were purchased during different visits to Anthropologie. Did I mention it’s my favorite store? The one on the bottom was a gift from my daughter for Christmas. She’s 9 and knows I love that place. The very top tea cup is my newest acquisition. Here’s to hoping they will have more next time I find myself at the mall. Well my friends… Time for tea!
