I have never been good at faces or hands. They’re complicated!! A friend asked me recently if I could do a family portrait. Face anxiety automatically set in. So, I’m in the process of doing some face studies. This is one, and yes, it looks like a face… but does it look like the face that belongs to the person I drew it from?… Well… No it does not! It looks a bit like Milla Jovovich. But that’s not who I was painting! Arrgghh!
