This is a chair study I did many years ago. The paintings were auctioned off for a Junior League “Chair-ity” Event. They were painted with oils on a masonite panel. Each approx. 8″ x 10″. The first one is my favorite. And guess what? I still have the actual chair!

Things got a bit messy. I really should stay away from charcoal. But hey, sometimes we create happy mistakes… I’m digging the gray effect it has created. Reminds me of pigpen from the Peanuts cartoons. hmmm…

I’m am really enjoying the fall so far, hope you are too. It’s truely my favorite time of year.
