Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. Mine was pretty scarry. When I logged into my blog to post this Coraline inspired Halloween illustration, my blog was gone! Ahhh, panic ensued! But, hey, I got it back, 2 days later. So, Happy Halloween!… 2 days late!
I delved into my inner werewolf to create this piece. I not only had the pleasure but also thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with paranormal romance author Dylan Newton, to create an artistic representation of her heroine, Aribella Lupari. Based on her novel “Despite the Fangs”, which you should all read, Aribella Lupari prefers her werewolf form as she tracks missing persons in the snowy Adirondacks and of course falls for the the guy who forces her to ignore all her animal instincts.
“Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful?” — Lana Del Rey
Self-portrait of me on my wedding day many years ago. What a beautiful day it was, even though it rained (outdoor wedding) and the caterers truck caught fire (despite the rain) and no one could leave because the firetrucks were blocking the driveway (ran out of beer)… Happy Anniversary Babe.
Wallpaper backgrounds… why not? Adds a bit of playfulness, don’t cha think? My girls are stylin’ in front of their fabulous backdrops. The top one titled “Children Guised as Cowboys” is by far my faviorite and since it’s completion has been the lock screen art on my iphone. And the bottom one titled “You Can’t Ride in My Little Red Wagon” after Miranda Lambert’s song just make me so happy. Prints available in my shop!
